Two kinds of visits, one pediatrician
Acute visits for illnesses that come up fast, and scheduled guidance visits for the parenting questions that deserve real time. Here's exactly what's in scope — and what isn't.
Visit type
Acute illness visits
For symptoms that showed up today or this week and need a same-day read from a pediatrician — the kind of thing you'd otherwise take to urgent care.
Standard acute visits are 15 minutes ($75); more complex concerns can use an extended 25-minute visit ($145). Full details on the pricing page.

Good to know
Who & how visits work
Ages 0–21
KidsDocTelehealth sees patients from infancy through age 21.
A guardian joins every visit
A parent or guardian must be present on camera for the full video visit.
Licensed in MD & D.C.
Visits are available to patients physically located in Maryland or Washington, D.C. at the time of the visit.
Out of scope
What KidsDocTelehealth doesn't do
Being upfront about scope means better care — and a faster referral when something needs a different kind of visit.
- Well-child / annual checkups
- Vaccines & immunizations
- Chronic disease management
- Controlled-substance prescriptions (incl. ADHD medication)
- In-person, home, or school visits
- Emergency or life-threatening symptoms
- Insurance billing (direct-pay only — HSA/FSA welcome)
Need one of these? Your in-person pediatrician, an urgent care, or — for anything emergent — 911 or the nearest ER is the right call.
