Dr. Maria Hussain, MD

I'm a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years of medical experience. Currently, I serve as a Pediatric ER Attending at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and as a Pediatric Hospitalist at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake, covering NICU, pediatric floor, nursery, and ER consults.

My training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn prepared me for the full spectrum of pediatric emergencies. I've cared for children from premature newborns in the NICU to teenagers in crisis — and everything in between.

I started KidsDoc Telehealth because I believe every family deserves accessible, expert pediatric care without the stress of waiting rooms. As a mother myself, I understand the worry that comes with a sick child. My goal is to be the trusted physician your family can reach when you need it most.

Yes! I can prescribe most medications including antibiotics, allergy medications, asthma inhalers, ADHD medications, and more. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy — usually ready within hours.
We operate on a direct pay model — $45 per visit or $69/month unlimited. This keeps pricing simple and transparent with no surprise bills. I can provide a superbill for potential insurance reimbursement if your plan covers out-of-network telehealth.
Many common concerns: colds, flu, ear pain, pink eye, rashes, allergies, asthma, UTI symptoms, ADHD management, behavioral concerns, medication refills, breastfeeding support, and more. If your child needs in-person care, I'll let you know right away and help coordinate next steps.

I'm a certified breastfeeding expert and love supporting new parents! I offer prenatal consultations, newborn care guidance, breastfeeding troubleshooting (latch issues, supply concerns, pumping), and ongoing support through those early weeks and months.
If I determine your child needs an in-person evaluation, I'll let you know immediately and help coordinate next steps — whether that's urgent care, their regular pediatrician, or the ER if needed. With my ER background, I'm experienced at recognizing when something needs urgent attention.
